The Britannia Inn

400 years old, The Britannia Inn is the very picture of a traditional village inn. Sat in the unspoilt village of Elterwater overlooking the green, in the heart of the beautiful Langdale Valley. You will receive a warm welcome with excellent food and drink.

The Bar is open all day throughout the year. All ales are cask conditioned real ale Jennings, a Cumbrian brewed ale is always available accompanied by guest beers. The bars are small and friendly with oak beams and open log fires and you are sure to strike up a conversation and have a good 'crack', as the locals would say.
