Many of the rooms have spectacular views over Lake Windermere and the Lake's edge is only a few minutes away. We are only minutes away from many of the local attractions and shops in Bowness and the hotel has ample parking.
Originally built as a Water Cure Hotel in the late 19th century, catering to the rich industrialists from Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, this elegant Victorian hotel, with its breathtaking views is now a fine hotel and conference centre.
Our largest Conference Room can accommodate a total of 200 delegates and there are several other rooms available for use as seminar and syndicate rooms. The Hydro offers a full range of audio-visual equipment and both 24 hour and Daily Delegate conference packages.
Private Dining from 10 to 300 people in a range of dining rooms offering a variety of menus, but all with that certain blend of friendly service, good food and fine wines.
